Explore the Thousands of Newspapers within these Archives and find out how we changed from being a wilderness to becoming the largest Steel Works in the World.

We have created this page to help finance the “Bill Stockdale Leadgate and District Historical Society Charity”.  50% of all profits accrued from this page will be donated to the above charity. These funds will be used to finance different projects within the village and outlying areas, namely, the children’s seaside trip and senior citizens day out. This charity has a committee who meet once a month within the Eden Miners Centre. Scroll to the bottom of this page for subscription costs.
