Welcome to the fifteenth booklet in the Leadgate Village Series. So long as pictures keep turning up we shall endeavour to record the “History” of our village.

As the title implies, for many reasons, this is expected to be the last little booklet in this series. We have run out of suitable photographs, having used approximately 660 photo’s over the years.

“Leadgate almost Vintage” Book Seventeen

You may need to be over 40 years of age to be found in this book, though of course it is mainly concerned with places and things which actually happened in your parents/grandparents lifetimes around the village. Perhaps you should consider buying a copy to remind them of past memories and changes in Leadgate.

Often I have looked from St. Ives to the North, to the “Hat and Feather Inn” and beyond, and in my mind’s eye, I picture this view as it may have appeared almost 2000 years ago.
